Guests will enjoy a holiday like no other as they experience Christ-focused devotionals and teaching from guest and resident lecturers, along with a myriad of recreational activities and special events. Enjoy a palate-pleasing dining menu, comfortable accommodations and our beautifully maintained facilities and grounds. The Capernwray Harbour Staff aims to impart quality of service through which our guests will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord & Life.
While the adults participate in morning and evening sessions, children receive age-appropriate Bible teaching along with stimulating games, music, crafts & outdoor adventures. Parents can rest assured that their children are well cared for, both physically and spiritually, by competent and caring Capernwray Harbour Staff, as they participate in the teen and children ministry programmes offered each week.
Holiday Bible Week afternoons, designed for both adults and youth, are filled with outdoor pursuits like water skiing, ocean kayaking, the climbing tower, beach volleyball and island boat tours. Guests may choose to take time to reflect on the beauty of God’s Creation with an afternoon stroll through the forest trails, or relax in the shade of our ocean view patios with a refreshing treat from the snack shop.

Holiday Bible Week 1
July 2–7, 2023
Join us as Jeffrey Thudian leads us through the Life of David, and learn some practical lessons for daily Christian living.

Holiday Bible Week 2
July 9–14, 2023
Explore the book of Colossians, a letter of Paul, full of the profound simplicity of the Christian Life, with Dan Thomas.

Holiday Bible Week 3
July 16 – 21, 2023
Together with speaker Tom Marcus, we will explore the book of Nehemiah, which illuminates the reality of God’s activity in our lives.

Holiday Bible Week 4
July 23–28, 2023
Under the guidance of speaker Clayton Dougan, we will meditate on the Gospel of Luke and appreciate the heart of Jesus and the reality of His life-changing presence.

July 30 – August 4, 2023
Join Richard Dahlstrom as we explore 1 Corinthians together, one of the most practical books in the Bible.

Holiday Bible Week 6
August 6–11, 2023
Spend some time with us exploring Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament, with Stephen Thiessen and learn how God brought the seed of life into the world.
FAQ
When does the conference start and finish?
Check-in will begin at 2:30 pm on Sunday. Guests are welcome to arrive on any of the afternoon ferry sailings from Chemainus to Thetis Island in time for a 6:00 pm supper. Accommodations won’t be ready until after 3 pm.
The conference concludes on Friday in time for guests to board a 1:20 pm or 3:05 pm ferry sailing from Thetis Island back to Chemainus.

What do I need to bring with me for the conference?
Please remember to pack:
- Towels (full bed linen provided)
- Bible, notebook and pen
- Clothing for rain or shine
- Sunscreen, bug spray, Afterbite
- Flashlight
- Portable playpen or crib (if needed for infant use in accommodations)
What type of programmes will there be for my children?
Parents can be assured that their children will be well cared for, both physically & spiritually by competent and caring Capernwray Harbour Staff, as they participate in the teen and children ministry programmes offered each week. Each age group will receive age-appropriate Bible teaching along with stimulating games, music, crafts and outdoor adventures while the adults are in session during the mornings and evenings. *Please see the sample Holiday Bible Week schedule for the structure and timings of the week.
Where will I stay during the conference?
There are several different types of accommodation on the property where guests can stay. There are 15 fully-winterized cottages which sleep 4 – 8 persons depending on the cottage size with attached washrooms.
Preedy Lodge is another accommodation on the property which is a dormitory-style accommodation with rooms sleeping 4 – 6 persons. Each room in Preedy Lodge has its own washroom and there are common, outdoor ocean view patios.
Can I make an accommodation request?
We will do our utmost to fulfill your accommodation requests where possible. Accommodation is pre-assigned prior to arrival by the Conference Registrar taking into consideration the number of persons per family unit, the ages and number of children and any medical, physical or other needs present.
How do I register?
All Holiday Bible Weeks for 2023 are now full and waitlisting.
Online registrations will be acknowledged as received when submitted. Registrations will be confirmed as accepted once space in the conference is secured and the registration is completely processed. Each online registration requires a $50 (CAD) non-refundable, non-transferable deposit PER PERSON in order to be received and accepted. Only Visa, Mastercard & American Express are accepted.

Balance is due upon arrivalThere are a variety of optional activities that can be purchased for a nominal fee during the week as well. These include things like snacks, drinks & souvenirs from the Pump House Snack Shop, Crafts, etc.
Are pets allowed at Capernwray Harbour?
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests of Capernwray Harbour, we do not permit guest pets on the property or in any of the accommodations or facilities. We are happy to recommend a canine bed & breakfast and kennel service in the town of Chemainus.
