SPEAKER
Dave Jackson
Dave Jackson has a long connection with Torchbearers that began as a young Christian attending Open Weeks at Capernwray Hall. Having come to faith in Jesus through a Billy Graham crusade in 1984, Dave found those weeks of Bible teaching and fellowship pivotal in developing a lifelong love for the Lord and His Word.
That connection grew as Dave went on to work at Capernwray Hall for many years, serving holiday guests and Bible School students before moving to the United States. Those years deepened his appreciation for the life-changing impact of Bible teaching, Christian fellowship, and sharing everyday life together.
Originally from the UK, Dave now lives in Nevada with his wife, Sadie. They have three children: Noah, Paige, and Felicity. His background spans forensic science, leadership, and pastoral ministry. He continues to serve through Bible teaching and discipleship in his local church.
Dave desires to help people discover the heart of Jesus through Scripture and see how knowing Him transforms everyday life.
TOPIC
Meeting Jesus
Together, we will discover what happens when people meet Jesus. Drawing from across Scripture, we’ll explore His compassion for the hurting, forgiveness for the guilty, challenge to the religious, and the eternal importance of following Him. From Moses and Elijah to Peter, the disciples, and those who came seeking healing or forgiveness, these encounters reveal Jesus’ heart and invite us to consider our own response. During the week we’ll explore how knowing Him shapes our relationships, priorities, and everyday lives. Whether you’re exploring faith or have followed Jesus for years, we will seek to know Him more deeply, and help others recognize His love through us.
