Ben Ellershaw
Ben came on board as a Property Maintenance Assistant after studying at Capernwray Harbour for two years and has overseen the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems on the property. Ben’s responsibilities have grown and shifted over the years and he now is responsible for student & volunteer pastoral care as well as developing the Bible School curriculum as the Director of Studies. Ben grew up in northwest England and is known for his quick wit, his deep love of Jesus, and soccer. Ben has been married to Miriam since 2013 and they have a delightful daughter named Emily.

Philippians
The letter to the Philippians is often referred to as the epistle of joy. As we notice the theme of joy and rejoicing (appearing 19 times in just four chapters), we might find the context of Paul’s interactions with the Philippians surprising. For example, Paul’s visit to Philippi in Acts 16 was filled with times of rejoicing but also times of suffering. Paul was beaten, wrongfully accused and imprisoned and yet went on to write this letter while in prison, chained to a Roman soldier. More than Philippians being a letter of joy it is a letter that leads us to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, (who is spoken of more than 50 times).
With great clarity, this letter shows us how to live in a world full of suffering and yet be people characterized by hope and joy because Jesus Christ is not only our source of joy but our very Life.

Registrations opened online at 8:30 am PT on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Online registrations will be acknowledged as received when submitted. Registrations will be confirmed as accepted once space in the conference is secured and the registration is completely processed. Each online registration requires a $50 (CAD) non-refundable, non-transferable deposit PER PERSON in order to be received and accepted. Only Visa, Mastercard & American Express are accepted.
