SPEAKER
Matthew McLean
Matthew first attended Bible School at Capernwray Harbour for two years, where he met his wife Jessica. He then followed God’s call to serve at Capernwray Quebec, where he and Jessica served for over fifteen years in multiple leadership roles. Matt and Jess are now serving in Matt’s hometown in Ontario, where Matt continues to be a friend, neighbour and advocate for others, proclaiming Christ’s Light and Life wherever He goes.
Playing hockey, chess and skateboarding are some of Matt’s favourite pastimes. Matt & Jess have three adult children living across Canada and three children at home, as well as a dog and a goat named Gary.
TOPIC
Sermon on the Mount
The Sermon on the Mount takes us directly to the heart of God with one of Jesus’ most famous messages, known not just in Christian circles but also around the world. How could the poor in spirit know and believe that ‘theirs is the kingdom of heaven’? Come and see what this seemingly backwards kingdom is all about as we look forward with eyes fixed on Christ Jesus and ears set on His Word – knowing the difference between the kingdom of this world and the kingdom of Heaven.
