Conferences & Retreats

Online Ladies’ Conference 2020

June 5-6, 2020

You are invited to seek, hear and respond to the Father’s heart right from where you are!

Though we can’t be together at Capernwray Harbour for our annual Ladies Conference Weekends, it doesn’t mean we can’t still GATHER as women.

Set time aside June 5 & 6 to be encouraged and strengthened through a renewed focus on the Lord Jesus as we study the Scriptures together ONLINE. Take opportunity to share and dialogue with other women how He has been speaking to you personally and how you can support one another in prayer during these uncertain times.  Other special features will be incorporated in our times together.

Conference Speakers

Elizabeth Joslin

Elizabeth Joslin has served at Capernwray Harbour since 1996. Whether she is registering conference guests, or corresponding with future staff members, her attention to detail and concern for others is an outpouring of the love & faithfulness she has received from the Lord Jesus. Elizabeth grew up in Calgary, AB and spent two years at CHBC as a student before following the call of the Lord to join the full-time staff team.

Miriam Ellershaw

Venturing halfway across the world to study for two years at Capernwray Harbour, Miriam has served as the Housekeeping Coordinator & Office Receptionist. Born and raised in India, Miriam is now right at home on Thetis Island. With her bright and patient spirit, she shares Christ’s Life with those she interacts with. Miriam is married to Ben and is a new mom to baby Emily.

Tessa Thudian

Bright and full of life is how one might describe Tessa Thudian. Coming to Bible School from Ontario and settling on Vancouver Island, Tessa had been a friend of Capernwray Harbour for a number years before she joined staff in 2016. Working with church congregations and in youth ministry has prepared Tessa for serving at CHBC with her husband, Jeffrey and their sons Reuben & Judah.

Conference Topic

Psalms of Ascent

A Journey Toward God’s Heart

Come and explore some of the poetic songs which the Israelites of old sung as they journeyed upward to the temple in Jerusalem in order to worship the Holy One of Israel.  This collection of Psalms provides timely messages from God’s heart to accompany us as we travel life’s uncertain road toward our heavenly destination, the very Presence of Christ.

Ladies' Conference Testimonials

I have attended many Women’s Retreats over the past twenty years. Always a blessed weekend! I would go twice a year if it was offered. Even making the trek from Leduc, Ab is sooooo worth it!
