Conferences & Retreats

Ladies Conferences

ON-SITE for Canadian Residents or ONLINE Worldwide
May 28 - 30 OR June 4 - 6, 2021

A weekend of personal retreat, refreshment, and renewal is in store for you!

These days seem more uncertain than ever. Yet God continues to offer us hope, peace, love, faithfulness, and more through His Son, Jesus Christ right where we are. A weekend awaits designed for women to step away from everyday life to spend focused time in His Word, be quiet in His presence, and enjoy being a little spoiled too. The staff ladies at Capernwray Harbour welcome women to join them on-site or online to be refreshed, renewed, and recharged this spring during the Ladies Conference Weekends.

Three Options to Participate

May 28 - 30 On-Site Weekend #1
Conference Topic: Praying to a God Who Hears

Together, we will take a closer look at some of the well-known prayers of God’s people found in Scripture. One would expect that prayer would be the norm for God’s people but it’s often a challenge.  God invites us to pray and has made every provision necessary for us to do so.  As we examine some of these prayers, we will discover how, through communication with God, our hearts are changed, restored, and renewed, all for His Glory.

Conference Speaker: Miriam Ellershaw

Born and raised in a Godly family in India, Miriam arrived at Capernwray Harbour in 2008 for Bible School and Leadership Training.  She, with her husband Ben, serve effectively on Staff also raising their sweet little daughter Emily. Christ is revealed and people blessed as Miriam also teaches the Word in Bible School and conferences.

June 4 - 6 On-Site Weekend #2
Conference Topic: RUTH, From Ruin to Redemption

An encouraging narrative of an ordinary woman used by God to do His extraordinary work.  We will journey with Ruth and Naomi through their personal sorrows, their daily decisions, and their expectations of God and see the kindness and goodness of a Redeemer Who never leaves or forsakes those who choose to follow Him. This story highlights God’s plan and purpose for His people as well as the practical ways we can love and serve in the most challenging of times.

Conference Speaker: Tessa Thudian

Bright and full of life is how one might describe Tessa. Coming to Bible School from Ontario and settling on Vancouver Island, Tessa joined the staff team in 2016 after marrying Jeffrey. Working with church congregations and in youth ministry has prepared Tessa for serving with us.  She is mom to two little boys.
